Chair of 1998 Vision Fair
Coordinated communications and public awareness for the citizen-driven, regional visioning process. Developed written copy for informational pamphlets, public service announcements, promotional tools and press releases. Served as media liaison in the first phase and public awareness campaign efforts. Planned and directed all logistical, program and promotional details, resulting in a community Vision Fair at Birmingham Museum of Art, April 1998.
MERCEDES-BENZ GRAND UNVEILING GUEST/MEDIA AMBASSADOR
Member of planning group in the communication component of automaker's Alabama Grand Unveiling Event. Traveled to Germany as a media ambassador, at the request of Mercedes-Benz, to introduce and escort international journalists to the United States for the vehicle manufacturer’s Grand Unveiling events.
CHILDREN'S DEFENSE FUND(CDF) - Birmingham Community Forum
State of Birmingham’s Children
Planned and implemented a forum of citizen and community leaders at historic 16th Street Baptist Church on the state of children in Birmingham as part of CDF’s National Community Crusade for Children.
